Ways to Treat Your Dog

This weekend I have done a little extra spoiling of my boys since they are facing days without me starting tomorrow. Since I started thinking about ways to pamper them a bit, I thought I'd share.   I think simple things are the best!

  • make or take them for a tasty treat like ice cream or a homemade sweet
  • visit a dog park for a socializing run with friends
  • go for a swim in a nearby lake
  • go for a hike
  • take an extra long walk around town
  • browse a pet store WITH your dog
  • bring home a brand new toy for the two of you to play with
  • give a doggie massage
  • go for a ride in the car
  • teach a new trick (dogs LOVE to learn!)

  1. Ok, I'm coming over to your house!!! That list sounds awesome! :-D Happy Labor Day!

  2. We had a great weekend too - we did some of these things! Is that some homemade ice cream??

  3. Great list there. Have a great day.
    Best wishes Molly

  4. Those are some very good ideas! We love going for car rides.

  5. I think I wanna come to your house. My pawrents went to Dairy Queen over the weekend and my packmate, Annie, went with them. And I smelled ICE CREAM on Annie's breath when they got home! Now isn't that a reason fur me to be very upset??? Think I'll go pee in their shoes!

  6. Is it a hard adjustment for them? I sometimes think my guys are a bit pouty on a Monday and that is only after two days off! LOL

    1. Not hard for Piper, he seems to care less. Murray is very sad when we leave him home.

  7. Those are all very important things to do and if my peeps want to do them every day we are happy!

    Your friends,

    Murphy & Stanley
