Let me tell you a story...
Once upon a time, in the not too distant past, Murray's parents used to let Murray start off bedtime on their bed each night, for a little TV time, relaxation and bonding.
Murray's parents always asked him to get down for actual "sleep time". Of course "good dogs" sleep on the floor in a proper doggie bed. Murray would spend most of the night in his own bed on the floor being the good dog he was, and sneak his way back to his parents' bed before morning....(Murray's parents never felt his agile slip up onto the bed...he was so stealth).
These days, (or should I say nights?), if Murray's parents ask him to get into his own bed like a good boy, he is immediately bouncing back up to be with them within 5 minutes. Most nights Murray never gets down at all. Poor Murray's parents... who suffer with little leg and foot room with a 90 pound Murray on their bed...but Murray, boy does he look comfortable! So comfortable that Murray's mom doesn't have the heart to keep him down. What will they do? Buy a bigger bed perhaps? We shall see. To be continued...
The End...(Sweet Dreams)
LOL, Mum says it would be bad enough to have to share a bed with us and we are chihuahuas! We are cruelly made to sleep in our own beds - boo.
ReplyDeleteWe think they will get an extra giant bed, ha.

well guess what, we have all five in the bed!! Its a bit much though and mom does say she needs a bigger bed

Somehow, even in a King size bed, dogs are able to use up most of the space :-)
ReplyDeleteWe know what your peeps are feeling. Finn sometimes likes to be in our bed too. We generally let her, but then she gets too hot and has to come down. So, from my Momma to your Momma...turn up the heat in the house!
ReplyDeleteI sleep with mom, but I am really little.
ReplyDeleteMurray - you are such a lucky dog - we don't even get to sleep in the humans' bedroom, never mind on the bed. You sure do make it look like something we would really love to try:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
A bigger bed doesn't help if you want to sleep on their legs. we got a king sized bed in February and Hailey still sleeps on one of our legs. Phod still sleeps on the floor fortunately!
ReplyDeleteSweet dreams!
That's wonderful Murray, the bed is were we are suppose to sleep, after all we have to be close to protect our peeps!
ReplyDeleteThe Mad Scots
Murray, we have the same problem that your parents have. Beamer loves the people bed too much. Except I personally sleep on a twin sized bed and Beamer is 90lbs too!
ReplyDeleteYup. No leg room at all. Beamer's sleeping on my bed right now while I'm lying in it. Can't say I'm comfortable.
We used to sleep with two Murray size dogs on our bed and I'm not sure how we did it, but we were all warm, that's for sure! :-)
ReplyDeleteSHE says we'd take up more room it we did have a BIGGER bed. Maybe the peeps should sleep on the floor.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Pocket and I, at less than eight pounds each, sleep in the big bed too, and we also take up the entire bed. It's just what us dogs do
ReplyDeleteYups, I'm with Daisy,Bella& Roxy, peeps should sleep on the floor, and the doggies should gets the big bed!!! BOL
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby
You're living the dream Murray, living the dream!
ReplyDeleteWe've learned to sleep like pretzels.

ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
WE sleep in the BED. THAT is just how it is... The THEY have to deal with it. BUTT IF they slept on the Floor.. WE would sleep on the floor. Just Sayin.
ReplyDeleteWe have always a battle in the bed for stake our claims :o)but approx. 4:00 am we are agreed :o)
ReplyDeleteIt's either a bigger bed or someone has to make way and sleep on Murray's good boy bed. And we bet that won't be Murray!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me Murray...Good to see you...I'm small so finding a spot on the bed isn't hard for me, but this week Momz is getting used to three dogs on the bed and we've had some wrestling matches already...
ReplyDeleteBawahawahha youz so lucky. That use to be my life, now I'm in a crate at night..XX00XX

Howdy Murray, you lucky dog. We can only dream of sleeping on mum and dad's bed, sigh. Hope your parents don't take up too much room and make you squished hehe. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteBOL. I have a cuddle in bed till lights off, then I head off to my armchair downstairs. Way too hot in their bed, plus daddy snores really loudly!
ReplyDeleteHope you get a bigger bed to accomodate all of you!
You are really lucky, Murray. We are not even allowed to be in Piappies Mom's bedroom. We all stay outdoors but she does tell us bedtime stories at times.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Piappies Fudgie, Princess, Frappie, Mocha, Sugar, Wai-Max, Wai-Pai & Forgie
Well Murray, I get to sleep on the bed too but alas, I am only 20 lbs of dog and do not take up much room. I vote that your parents should buy a bigger bed...no, wait. Your parents should buy the biggest bed so that you all can fit comfortably!

I had to laugh at this one...there are some nights when I have 4 collies on the bed with me! So I know what you mean about leg stiffness...but I too cannot bring myself to kick any of them off!
ReplyDeleteHaha, sounds like you are in hog heaven on the bed there! You're lucky your parents are nice to you!! :)
