They h...I feed K9 Naturals, which is a frozen food. They have freeze dried also, but I prefer the frozen because it's easier to feed. It is a complete food that has everything they need, is screened multiple times for bacteria, etc. I did my research and even wrote a book about it (Not published yet. ;-) ) because I was so intent on getting the answers on raw.<br /><br />Feeding a "premade" food takes a lot of risks out of it. There's no risk of malnutrition, lower risk of bacteria, no risk of parasites, which are the three big risks with raw. You still have to handle it like you would any raw meat. (Wash your hands before and after, use stainless steel bowls and wash them after, don't let raw meat sit in the sun for days before eating it, etc.) but the benefit to the dog is well worth it.<br /><br />If you want to try "Prey Model Raw" I suggest checking out www.preymodelraw.com they are much better at it than I am. :)<br /><br />How is Murray doing? We have had some experience with liver disease. Ping has chronic liver disease which was asymptomatic but diagonosed in blood work. She is on milk thistle and denamarin and also curcumin and ursodial. We were feedlign her a home cooked diet of fish and potatoes but she really did not like it and now we have switched to hills diet. Leia also had to be on a li...Praying for you guys.<br /><br />Leia also had to be on a liver supplement for a little while due to high enzyme levels. We tried everything to help her, but the only thing that actually did help was switching her to a raw food diet.
